The Magnetic Alignment of Divine Knowledge”

Greetings of peace and divine abundance to all! In this edition of “Science and Spirituality,” let us explore a profound teaching recently shared by Shah Nazar Seyyed Dr. Ali Kianfar about the nature of spiritual transmission and our capacity to move within the field of divine energy, reach toward the Hand of God, and read our clear Book—that book which was granted to humanity at the beginning of creation. This is not an abstract or mystical concept, but rather a logical and practical journey of transformation, one that is inextricably tied to sincere intention, loving practice, and the pursuit of peace and prosperity.
As Dr. Kianfar teaches: “To properly understand the reality and especially the mystery of self, it is necessary to follow a universal and eternal law in the interconnected and unified world that governs all situations at all levels, both in science and spirituality.” During a recent gathering, Dr. Kianfar illuminated this universal law through the metaphor of magnetic alignment, emphasizing the profound dynamics of the teacher-student relationship in the spiritual journey.
The Teacher’s Magnetic Field
Dr. Kianfar explained how a student is like iron containing magnetic domains—regions with magnetic potential pointing in scattered directions. The teacher, like a permanent magnet, creates a field that aligns these scattered domains. When the student enters this field with the sincere intention to surrender, their inner domains organize into coherent patterns, transforming them into a mirror that reflects the divine magnetic field of the teacher.
This magnetic alignment provides the mechanism to access what Dr. Kianfar has long discussed in his Quran classes: “You are the pronunciation of that clear book inside.” Just as the Holy Quran begins Surah 2 with three letters—Alif, Lam, Mim—representing the alphabet of creation coming together to form meaning, we too are divine texts composed from this same primordial alphabet. Born, therefore, with deeply inscribed knowledge, our inner book remains closed until our scattered domains can align. Through the teacher’s magnetic field, we gain the coherence necessary to finally read what has always been written within.
Scattered Domains, Hidden Knowledge
Consider the nature of magnetic domains in iron. Each microscopic region contains magnetic moments pointing in random directions. Though the iron contains all the properties needed for magnetism, these scattered orientations cancel each other out, rendering the whole material non-magnetic. Similarly, as Dr. Kianfar teaches, every cell of our being contains “the knowledge of the entire universe,” yet this knowledge remains inaccessible—unreadable—when our inner domains are scattered and misaligned.
When iron enters a strong magnetic field, something remarkable occurs: the domains begin to align with the external field. Importantly, nothing new is added to the iron. The magnetic field simply organizes what was always present, transforming chaos into coherence. This is precisely what happens in the presence of a true spiritual teacher. The teacher’s field doesn’t insert new knowledge, but rather aligns our inner domains so we can finally read the divine book that was always written within us.
Beyond Physical Proximity
Unlike classical magnetic interactions, this spiritual alignment can occur across vast distances. To understand this concept, we must transcend classical physics and enter the quantum realm as explored in previous editions of this column. While ordinary magnetic fields weaken with distance, the teacher’s spiritual field operates through the quantum principles that violate Bell’s Inequality—those same principles that allow entangled particles to remain connected regardless of separation in physical space.
As we’ve discussed before, from the perspective of light, all moments of time exist simultaneously. The teacher’s spiritual magnetic field permeates through this eternal present, accessible to any heart properly prepared, regardless of physical location. The “proximity” that matters is not measured in meters but in the degree of the heart’s receptivity and surrender. As Dr. Kianfar teaches: “The teacher is always available…to become a student and prepare the heart is a challenge.”
The Chain of Transmission
Once alignment occurs, we don’t merely reflect the teacher’s field temporarily. Like iron that becomes permanently magnetized, we develop the capacity to maintain our alignment and even help align others. This is the secret of the silsila, the chain of spiritual transmission: each aligned heart becomes capable of reading not only their own book, but helping others access theirs.
Dr. Kianfar reminds us that reading this inner book requires generating our own light: “It is in the darkness that you read Quran…unless the light rises from inside of you.” Magnetic alignment with the teacher creates the coherent structure necessary for our heart to resonate with and amplify the divine light that permeates all existence. Just as organized magnetic domains allow iron to interact powerfully with electromagnetic fields, our aligned spiritual domains enable us to perceive and reflect the knowledge of Ar-Rahman.
Maintaining Alignment
Through focused meditation and sincere practice, we maintain this magnetic alignment against the scattered frequencies of modern life. Each moment of remembrance strengthens our coherence, making the divine book within us ever more readable. As Dr. Kianfar beautifully expresses: “Every verse in the Holy Book has to find clear proof in your prime memory.” Through the grace of alignment with our teacher’s field, we gain access to that prime memory—the eternal book of our true being.
Inshallah, may we all become perfectly aligned with our teacher’s field, reading and reflecting the eternal knowledge that has always been inscribed in our hearts.
