As a public service to the community, the IAS has entered into an agreement with the Napa Valley Memorial Park in Napa, California, to create a large, dedicated section of land for 1,000 burial sites called the “Garden of Light.” A portion of the this beautifully maintained site is to be built and dedicated as a Praying and Meditation Room.

This building on this sacred space, with direction oriented towards qibla, will have running water for ablution and a wheelchair accessible walkway from the street. The building and walkway will be covered with cream-colored bricks. It will serve as a serene and suitable area for visitors of all faiths and spiritual traditions to pray and reflect.

We began construction at the end of 2013 and phase 1 is complete. We intend to complete this project, with your generous donations, by the end of 2015.

To complete the building and make the Garden of Light Praying Room ready for service, we need your support and donations. Our total budget goal is $175,000. We welcome your participation through the purchase of a commemorative brick (with inscription of your choice) or monetary donation. The graph below shows the current status of donations and pledges and will be updated to monitor our project progress.
